The first Slacks Creek School was opened on 23 May 1873 as a Provisional School. It takes its name from the early pioneer - W. Slack. This became a State School in 1909. It was a rough slab building and was situated on the right hand side of Loganlea road from the Pacific Highway. The second school was moved to higher ground after a disastrous flood, but unfortunately this school burnt down in 1956. The present school has grown to provide modern educational services to our students. |
